Xitali (sp) or "Yellow Market" burn in BOLA?

Saw on Facebook that the market was gutted by fire. Any news on if/when they will rebuild?

Heard about it myself a day or so ago. I also heard that they had a guard locked in there that couldn't get out until someone got there to open a door to let him out.

bad news. that was the best store in town.

Would it be the one across from Casa Diaz, at the beginning of the road to Las Animas?

Though, I preferred other stores - Deconsa near the sails monument, and La Isla on the other side of street. Good prices, and assortment enough for me. Have always been wondering how they could run that many stores in a town that small.

Terrible news. I hope they recover and reopen. I like that store.

Marta (the store owner) is pretty tough, she'll be back. She also owns the Pemex station on the west side of the road as you come into town so she has a back up income.

La Isla is the new go-to store.

Alm, yes that's the one.

They're all go-to stores for something. The reason the town supports so many is they all don't always have everything. Even a small shopping list will take two or three stores to cross everything off. Not complaining, it does give me a chance to see what's new or different at each one.
