For those of you bringing construction material into Mexico. You have to import larger quantities of construction material through Otay Mesa crossing.
The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Closed Sunday. They claim to let you through with the 16% fee if you have a
"little" amount of wood, currently as 25 pieces of wood per carload. (Moving target). Larger amounts of wood require an import and higher fees. But
don't arrive too close to 2 PM, or they will be closed and you will be sent back to the U.S. We have already been turned back twice in the last year
after going for 10 years and never being turned back. We just want to know the rules...(moving target) It would be nice to have a web site posting
