Mex 1 to Blvd 2000, northbound?

Alm - 8-21-2015 at 06:42 PM

Some years ago there used to be an easy off-ramp on the right, before you reach Rosarito.

Exactly how does it look now, and where, and what signs?

1 or 1-D?

Both have signs, 1 has a signal (it is just before the former Fox Baja Studios).

The 1-D (Toll Hwy.) exit onto Corridor 2000 (BC 201) has a toll gate, but that toll is for the section of Hwy. 1-D you just used, and not the Corridor 2000 (which is a free road).

The 2000 exit is just a few miles north of Puerto Nuevo, Cantamar, Sand Dunes, etc.

Just came the 2000 road north today from San Quintin
There were ZERO cars in Sentri at Otay(around noon). Got through in 30 seconds....

David - exit from Quota to Blvd 2000 is on the Quota after a regular toll gate, or is it some tall gate "just for Blvd 2000"?

You'll find that the exit is indeed "an easy off-ramp on the right, before you reach Rosarito."

There is a marked exit on the Quota called "Boulevard 2000" when you are heading north, shortly before Rosarito. The toll is 21 pesos, if I recall correctly (from yesterday...).

Although the toll may not be for Blvd 2000, but actually to pay for the portion of the Quota that you used, once you go through the toll booth you are on Blvd 2000 heading towards Tijuana and Otay.

(I don't think there is an exit from the Quota going south. However, I believe there is one from the Libre.)

As of this past Saturday, they seem to be building an on-ramp and quota boot (southbound) just as you come to the stop sign on corr. 2000, by Fox studios.

Big Bear Rider correctly stated what I thought I had earlier... Cuota (toll) Hwy. is Mex 1-D. The toll gate is for the portion of the toll road you had just driven, not the 2000. It is before (south of) Popotla where the Titanic was filmed and after (north of) Puerto Nuevo, the lobster village.

Going northbound on the 1-D toll road you just exit for Corredor 2000 and pay your toll, it's 26 pesos I believe.
