Good galaxy shot!

One of the many things I like about the peninsula is the night sky. Our first night when driving is Santa Ynez at Catavina and I always look forward to seeing the Milky Way, Polaris, Orion's Belt, and the big dipper again.

In the 11 years I've been a Nomad fan I've seen uncountable high resolution, well framed and exposed photos taken from every kind of camera. (about a zillion from Pompano alone) Not one of them featured a WATERMARK.

Sooooo, Cortez, that was either an oops or you must believe you're the most accomplished photog with the newest/best/priciest gear this board (or any other) has encountered.

If it's the latter I feel your pain because you must be reaching out to get some much needed love, attention or respect others quietly leave alone while gifting us with some of the best outdoor shots anywhere.

I'll let you decide

A good link from Nikon on Astro Photography. It may answer the question that many neophytes ask, why I post equipment used to take certain types of photos, like the milky way.

Take a look
