LA MAGDALENA MYSTERY (near Mulegé) REVISITED 2015 (Baja Bound Article)

Two months ago, Baja Angel and I returned to the La Magdalena ruins after I saw on Google Earth that flash floods appeared to have destroyed the 1700's mission-era site. The large rock wall base and other rock rooms we saw in 2009 were indeed destroyed by the wider riverbed. There were some wall ruins not yet eaten up by the arroyo, and the pila was unharmed.

The new Baja Bound newsletter just came out, and contains the article:

If you can see Baja historic sites on your next trip, don't hesitate to go, as they may not be there the next time you are south of the border!

I should add that other Nomads friends of mine have articles in this month's Baja Bound newsletter, as well!

GregN writes about the early history of Mexicali http://www.bajabound.com/bajaadventures/bajafever/mexicali.p...

and Graham writes about the Cabrillo statue now on display in Ensenada!
