Boat TIP permits

3464james - 9-24-2015 at 10:21 PM

Just received my boat TIP permit in the mail. However it states that I need to send back a signed declaration that I will abide by all laws ect. No problem, but it also states that I must return the TIP upon taking the boat out of the country, returning it to the nearest Banjercito. So, if I go back in the next six months I have to buy a new boat TIP???
Anybody know?

James...I believe its good for ten years....do you still have your place at GB?

I have a TIP buy my boat is in a marina in San Diego. I use the TIP when I sail, a couple times per year, to Ensenada.

Dizzy,
no we sold it. After the plane, the boat, and the neighbors boat were stolen,we gave up. We are staying at El Sacrificio. Eduardo is no longer there and they have done a nice job fixing it up. Rooms have air con, showers, toilets. Boat launch in front.
However, fools that we are, Still looking for a place perhaps north of G Bay.

Just ignore the note about sending something back. Do not turn in the TIP early either. It is good for 10 years.
This has all been on a earlier discussion.

Does anyone have a working web site that I can get a TIP for my boat?

LaTijereta - 9-25-2015 at 07:48 PM

You have a boat?

Howard - 9-26-2015 at 09:18 AM

I think it's more like the boat has me. Yes, I bought a 210 Triumph with a 150 hp Yamaha.

Sorry if this has been answered before but if I read between the lines, soooo... I just cross the border with my 13.6" inflate able on a trailer with a 25hp, I just show them my registration. That's it?

that's it...they might want to check the serial numbers on the boat and 25hp and the trailer plate
