We drove down to Los Barriles (and a bit further) from the States last December, and somewhere along the way I swear I saw a street sign that was
Calle 30 de Febrero ... for one reason or another I couldn't take a photo and then promptly forgot what town it was in (for some reason I want to say
Loreto, but could be *way* wrong) and never saw it again on the way north ... did I somehow misread it? Anyone know where it is? Or why they might
be celebrating the seemingly super-rare 30th of February?
would like to stop and get a photo this time if possible ...
thanks,

I don't know for sure, but it seemed to me that La Paz had a few streets named to commemorative important dates in Mexico history.
I would be surprised if other cities did not have one as well.danaeb - 10-1-2015 at 03:05 PM
5 de Febrero in La Paz and lots of other cities, Constitucion day, but 30 de Febrero, I don't think so. :-) john68 - 10-1-2015 at 03:36 PM
30 de Febrero is in Los Barriles.David K - 10-1-2015 at 04:29 PM
The funny part (missed by some), is there are only 28 days and every four years 29, in February!
Does Mexico have its own calendar? jedge42 - 10-1-2015 at 04:57 PM
Really? Somehow I was sure it was further north ... i'll be in that area for a few months this winter, so tracking it down shouldn't be too hard ...
now if only i can find out what it means and what the significance is ...
maybe it is just meant as "The street that never happens"

Does Mexico have its own calendar?
Sometimes February 30 falls on March 1st or 2nd?
I was never very good with a calendar!
I guess that blows my historic date theory out of the water. Is there a Margarita Ville in Baja, that could explain the Street name.

There's a street aptly named "At Your Own Risk" crossing the Elliot Hwy north of Fairbanks, on the way to the Dalton Hwy.

How about a street named 'Won Way', maybe in Las Vegas? Almost as bad as a street named 'Nottathru'!??
OK, I will stop!UnoMas - 10-1-2015 at 06:37 PM
jedge42,
You are correct. There is a street in Los Barriles named 30 de Feberero. It is on the road to the panteon just above the El Barrilito sea food
restaurant. Good catch...
