ok amigos - here we go again! I will be in SAN DIEGO, my air force son based in Korea to see. He comes with my granddaughter - words cannot express
my glee!
So, if anyone in the area has donations, my grass roots college scholarship project now has 20 students!

As I do every year, with the help of 3 amigas in town, we wrap gifts for every single kid.
Please help me! Besides anything fun you think a 17 - 18 -19 year old would like, other items that are invaluable include:
laundry soap
ties (remember?)
bath soap
shampoo
anything school related - highliters, thick notebooks, looseleaf paper, calculators, 3 ring binders
shorts/dress shirts for the boys
tennis shoes for all of them
backpacks
still urgently need 6 laptops
if anyone wants to donate cash - there is a wells fargo account that you can make deposits to - U2U me and I will send the account #.
Here are the names of the 20 kids, just for the fun of it:
from 2013
Julian, Alfonso, Clarissa, Alexis. Graciela is back in school too.
from 2014
Pablo
from 2015,
Ramiro, Alen, Enrique,
starting in 2016
Nora, Carolina, Alondra, Martha, Karla, Olimpia, Alberto, Dayr, Katia
added on in 2015 by referral
Mary and Donaldo
This year, some of the sponsors have offered to help me prepare lunch for this awesome group. Anyone interested PLEASE COME!
Lastly, being that I am not teaching at the high school this year, I will not be getting the usual freebee turkey and could use a frozen bird or
two!
Of course everyone will get to see the photos ... this part is the fun part... dreaming of a fun day with all the kids together ... and this is the
time I use to have the older students prepare the freshmen for what is ahead for them and for me to give them my 2 cents worth about LIFE.
God Bless All of you. I can't do this without help!
