On the second thought it looks like Doug is resizing the image. Not so good because the image quality is dropping due to compression.

There is definitely enough salt to go around.
If you look in the distance you can see white that looks like surf. That's actually a levee that holds back the water to the pond. On the other side
is the lagoon with cool deep water full of sea life. I'll bet that you can cast off that levee and catch spotted bay bass. I walked out there without
my fishing rod but it looked very fertile. I saw no life in the ponds other than flies. Not even brine shrimp. shari - 10-23-2015 at 11:39 AM

Beautiful area- photogenic, especially at dawn/sunset
Heavy metals and other pollutants runoff in water and/or blow into those ponds from land and roads (oil, rubber from tires, animal waste, asbestos
dust from brake pads etc) and accumulate in shallow ponds near the highway.
Ok for salt intended for industrial use (eg, polyvinyl chloride), not great for consumption.
