Love the graphics on the Windty site, but that model is almost two weeks out. During 'Patricia', they stuck to their model showing that it would be no big deal, even as it built to a category five and was slamming the coast.

That doesn't mean that this model does not deserve our attention though!

Weird, I watched it 10 minutes ago and it was right on the east cape. I copy and send the link to girl friend coming in that day. Check to make sure linky worked and the storm has moved 200 miles south.

It is based off the GFS models which have been calling for TC's way out in advance all year and rarely do the materialize. However, its worth watching of course. But I wouldn't get too set on this until we are within 5-7 days.

WNW winds have begun, though not in earnest (yet). A pretty strong episode is forecast for mid next week. Rapid cooling of the ocean down here is often the result.

Windyty graphics are very purdy, but they seem much less accurate than most.

we have had unseasonably high WNW winds here in central pacside Bahia Asuncion for the last couple weeks when the forecasts call for 10-15 knots and it has blown 25 knots...sheesh...it's like April winds.
