I'm looking for a good saltwater tackle store in the San Diego area. A store that carries tackle suitable for Baja. A store that's comparable to The
Longfin in Orange County.
Any recommendations? DaliDali - 11-11-2015 at 11:18 AM
Both stores are within a mile or so of each other in the Midway district.mtgoat666 - 11-11-2015 at 11:19 AM
Best? All is relative. Squidco on Barnett has large selection. Rossman - 11-11-2015 at 11:23 AM
DaliDali has the right answer. tripledigitken - 11-11-2015 at 11:31 AM
I agree with the two selections too. It's always fun to go to Fisherman's Landing (very close to the above shops) and while there visit their tackle
shop.
Fisherman's Landing Tackle Shop

If I get that far, a stop at Point Loma Seafoods for their scallop or squid sandwich is required.

Igor, there are many great tackle stores in San Diego. Here are a few that I have used over the years.
I'm sure you can shop at any of these to your heart's content...
These two close together on Shelter Island at Point Loma.
Squidco on Midway and Barnett.
Chartbait is another good bet.Skipjack Joe - 11-11-2015 at 11:53 AM
Thank you for your suggestions. Would Chartbait have the best prices?sd - 11-11-2015 at 01:30 PM
I like Charkbait, stores in San Diego and Huntington Beach, good prices and saltwater selection.Romano - 11-11-2015 at 02:23 PM
It's been a while, but I like Angler's Choice on Rosencrans as well. Very knowledgeable staff.
Also, if you're looking for bargain prices, check out SQC Corp.
2627 Boston Ave.
San Diego
619-238-0909
SQC and Squidco used to be one company. They split up years ago because of some infighting. SQC also sells maxican licenses.
