Can someone give me their honest opinion on driving a 31' Tioga (Ford) class C towing a small car down Baja!
We are very experienced Mexican RVers from Canada who have spent 5 winters exploring every state of mainland Mexico, avoiding tourist centers and
taking many secondary highways. Some good friends who did Baja in a truck and camper a couple of years ago told us we will find many RV parks too
small to get into and many more that will be full. We do not make reservations but just go when and where the spirit moves us.
Thanks in advance. We will either head for Baja or back to the hot springs in Villa Corona near Guadalajara. Help us decide!

You are experienced enough to not have a problem with that rig. Go, enjoy and no problema.

A class C should be no problem.
I was planning on doing the traveling with a 45' Monaco Executive.
There is no problem with the width or length.
What stopped me from doing the trips was the deterioration of the RV by the saltwater, and the topes in every town you drive into...the RV had a tag
axle, and when going over a tope the drive axle goes over the tope first, then after it comes down the tag axle bottoms out on the tope. Yes, I could
have raised the tag axle, but that raises the tag axle by two inches and most topes are at least 6+ inches tall. I also saw the chance of dragging the
rear end after crossing some vados.
All in all, the back end of the RV's overhang was going to be a problem in some areas of Baja.

no problem at all, been hauling 5th wheels up and down for 20 years and while in Baja pull 10 ft quad trailer behind 5th wheel, have fun, slow is
fast

Well, we live less than 100 feet from the ocean on Vancouver Island so salt is not a big concern for us. Stuff rusts!
Thanks for the input. We don't boondock much so I guess my final concern is finding RV parks that are big enough for us and are not full.
