Hola Nomads, As usual, I'm confused. I've filled out all of the paperwork for beginning the process of getting a visa for myself and my wife so we
don't have to hassle the FMM thing every time we cross the border. The email I received from the Consulate General in San Diego said we would have to
pay $36.00 but I've read on other web sites that it's way more expensive (maybe he meant to say it was 36 bucks just to start the process). Also the
email stated that I had to take care of the process at the consulate where I live, but there's not one in San Luis Obispo county and so far I can't
get an answer on which one I should go to (Oxnard? - Fresno?). Also, what is the time frame for renewal (does it need to be done every year?), and is
there an advantage on getting a permanent visa rather than a temporary (we can easily qualify for both as far as income, owning property, etc.).
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. Paul Boe |
