Is there scuba diving in La Paz? My son wants to know and I really have no idea.
Thanks.
Yes, there are several dive shops along the malecon. There is a well equipped dive shop in the old immigration office storefront near the south/west
end of the malecon.
Also, there is a dive operation in La Ventana offering trips to the Isla Cerralvo area.
Late summer offers the best visibility. The winter north winds have started and the underwater visibility tends to be 20-40 ft rather than 100+ ft.BajaBlanca - 11-25-2015 at 02:49 PM

wreck of the Salvatierra out in the channel, awesome dive, at least it was in the 80's! (and a fascinating story)

. . .Some good diving out to Los Isolates - where the seal colony is, or the Hammerhead Shark Dive, or if you are lucky enough to catch lots of manta
rays. . .Might require a long boat ride out & back, but, yes some worthy diving out of La Pas, , ,Try this folks http://www.clubcantamar.com or Google is your friend. . .BajaBlanca - 11-25-2015 at 03:58 PM

Recommended very highly as very professional by our Spanish teacher and friend. I have no personal experience with them, but some of my family did
the dive-with-the-whale-sharks thing and had a fantastic time and would recommend them too. BajaBlanca - 11-26-2015 at 09:23 AM
