FMM card

There is talk about getting a FMM card before hand. We are in Canada going to cross TJ end of Dec with an RV. Is it possible?

We buy ours on-line here for the convenience. It is more expensive than buying it at the border.

Discover Baja website with information:

Welcome to BN and best wishes for a great trip,

If you are crossing with an RV you will most likely get sent to secondary. Just get the FMM while you are at the inspection area. Plenty of parking for an RV and easy to get. Even if you get beforehand, you still have to stop at Immigration to get it stamped........really not much of an advantage

You can also get your prepaid FMM through Vagabundos del Mar if you are a member. They carry our annual auto and boat insurance. Vagabundos type up the application with relevant info, type up the FMM also. You still need to stop at the border to get it stamped, but that is a quick in and out. No money is exchanged at the border since it is prepaid.

Thanks. Might be pressing it tight to have them sent to canada in time. If we cross early in the morning at SY than the bank likely wont be open than what? To Bajaguy. Do we sit around and practice our spanish✌

The INM (Immigration) guy can take your money for the FMM cards
but practicing your Spanish would be a great idea

You can pay for your FMM 24/7 at San Ysidro. If Banjército is closed then the INM guy takes the money. In either case you get a receipt.
