Phone call in from Los Cabos. Being asked if there is somewhere in the area to play pickleball?
Haven't had a chance to do a Google search yet.
Any advice? Thx.

Hola Doug -
In Cabo proper, from time to time, Grand Solmar has allowed their tennis courts to be used by some of our fishing guests .. maybe they have people
that check in with them. Tel 624-144-2500
In East Cape in Los Barriles, there is (or was not sure) a large group that play/ed .. Julie Marks may know more - her tele 624-141-0381
Hope this helps! Lori

Active Pickle Ball in Los Barriles at the Palmas de Cortez court. Also in La Ventana.
Try the BPE for connections:

Ah, so pickleball HAS finally arrived in The Cape area. 'Bout damn time!
San Carlos has no less than 13 courts, where there were none only three years ago. There is no longer a dedicated tennis court (that I can think of)
that hasnt been converted to a pickleball court. Some rogue pickleball players have even converted the court at a long-closed RV park that is easy to
enter on foot.
We've just gotten approval to convert a public basketball court (with lights, WC, concrete "bleachers" and a shade structure) into an area with three
courts. So, we are having fund-raising tournaments, spaghetti dinners, small-business sponsorships, etc. to fund the conversion. We already held our
first tournament at the location last March with portable nets and paper tape for boundaries. I believe we had 64 teams, maybe less; the tournament
was filled within a week.
And so, San Carlos has become a little fishing village with a dinking problem, like so many others.............
What are you people waiting for? Seek out pickleball in the communities you live. It probably exists; it's popularity has grown so fast. If it doesn't
exist, START ONE. Existing tennis courts are not expensive to convert. And with the aging population, so many more people can play pickleball,
compared to tennis. You will have an organized group in no time...........if you want to take it to that level. If not, you will have friendly groups
in no time. Ladies-only play, mens-only play, mixed doubles, etc. Probably 99% of the games over here are all doubles, so you dont have to cover the
whole court. It's not overly aerobic, if you're worried about your speed or endurance. People are playing into their 70s.
And it becomes YET ANOTHER another reason to get together, socially, after the games end. Yes, we already have a couple lit courts for night play.
