Anyone have any experience with the LB maps for a Garmin? I have a 1490 and a 60CX.

I assume this is what you are talking about?

I had not heard of that, but it sounds interesting.

They are an affordable option which I used for a number of years now.
LB Maps tend to show all the talked about routes but more obscure are less likely to show. Towns show modest detail, no business details to speak of other than Loreto where they were/are based. Not autorouting. Small file size so fits on older GPS.
I could be wrong but I don't think the maps have been updated in many years and while things change slowly in Baja, they do change.

There are other options:
Garmins City Navigator is surprisingly good especially on major routes and in towns.
Garmin TOPO MX is very detailed
The OpenStreets maps are getting better all the time and are free.

Don't know if they use old or new(er) data. Probably no big deal, but trying to find input on any +/- 's. $40 not a deal breaker but don't want to be throwing my $$ away if it's not accurate or way out of date, etc.
