Dentist recommendation for La Paz

23S52N - 1-4-2016 at 10:00 AM

Howdy folks, broke a molar over the weekend and need to find a good dentist in La Paz. I will most likely need a crown. Recommendations appreciated.

regards,
Keith

Dentist in La Paz: Dr. Angel Hernandez, dentistabajasur@gmail.com. 612-183-1734.

He's out of LP with visits to Todos. Recommended by a gringa local in Pescadero. I'm seeing him today for a crown that fell out. I trust my friend so sure he'll be good.

Thanks Lee,

Does he speak English, unfortunately my Spanish isn't up to par. Let me know how you make out.

regards,
Keith

Dra Patricia Camon Sanchez, Calle s/n 513-3, Esrella del Mar

Her specialty is cosmetic dentistry, but she is great with routine procedures as well. She speaks very good English, (her assistant doesn't) credit cards are ok.

She has very small hands, a feature that I had not considered in a dentist before, but appreciated very much!

Send me a U2U if you want an e-mail address or phone number.

Thanks folks, yes I found Dra. Sanchez on the club cruceros directory as recommended and she lives just a few blocks away. I'll drive over tomorrow and update the post.

Muchas gracias,
Keith

Paty (Dra. Sanchez) is the one you want to hook up with
good English, good work, nice persona
pricing about average for La Paz ($800 peso for a visit, $5,300 peso for a new crown)

Thanks Harald, reassuring. Is the crown gold or porcelain?

Keith

my last crown was some sort of hard plastic

AKgringo - 1-4-2016 at 07:54 PM

My crowns were porcelain. I would hate to try and correctly report what the cost was, I was getting work done in a warm, fun environment near beaches!

If you need implants, Dra Sanchez has an associate that she calls in, and she is there to assist, and translate. She then takes over for installing and fitting the crowns.

Have an appointment for Monday next. Will keep you updated.

Just a short final update. Three trips last week got two replacement fillings and a metal/porcelain crown for a total of $6400 pesos, the crown was $4400 of those. Very professional, very nice lady whom I would highly recommend
Dra. Patricia Coman Sanchez. Google her for tel and location.

Keith

We are planning a trip to Mexico for extensive dental work (about $45,000 here in California which is out of the question). What I am looking for is someone who has had implants, crowns and/or extractions. It's really hard from up here to understand the recommendations and then the negative reports on the same dentist. Anyone out there have anything? Ideally, I would like to connect eventually by phone but for now, just want to continue the search. Would like LaPaz but would be open to other locations for the right professional. Help! We need to do this soon.......thanks to all, in advance. Wish we already lived there.

just come to La Paz, see Paty (the one already recommended here)
have some initial work done
if you like it - continue
if you don't like the initial work - find another dentist

La Paz has many dentists to chose from
most of them are good

I would not decide from a few thousand miles away
