We are taking our first trip to the Baja area (we are from Phx). Our plan is to take Hwy 1 from SD to Guerrero Negro. Home route is to take Hwy 5 up
through Mexicali. What is the road condition from Hwy 1 to Puertecitos? Research indicates dirt road, but paved from Puertecitos to San Felipe. Can
someone provide an update for us? Thank you!

Dirt/rock from Chapala to Rancho Grande (23 miles). Has taken a beating from the recent rains. Pavedd the rest of the way with rough pavement from
Puertecitos to San Felipe. Be careful of the dips in this section....Go Slow. Many posts on Facebooks...Talk Baja.
