a couple of whales in the bay today...it's been a couple of years since we've seen them

they actually jumped out of the water...

I think those are Fin Whales. There has been a family of three in our Mulege waters for several years. They are fun to see while out fishing.
I wonder where they went for the last couple of years?

Very nice, what's the bahia's temperature today?

When the water is warmer than normal, all the sea residents change their patterns.

Awesome.

My last year at La Perla we had humpies circling the Bahia for a week. On one particularly windy day we heard crashing even above the howling wind and waves; the humpie was right off the north point by Rosa's casa, not very far out; maybe 20' of water at most, and doing the side-fin smash. I took an awesome video of it on my camera. Your post made me watch it again. The days that were calm we had a couple of boating runs with two of them, followed them for 5 miles or so down into the south bay. Seemed like over the years they'd show up every other year or so...... love it. Great pic btw. Thanks for the memories.

Yep. They don't look like greys.
