We are taking some relatives to San Felipe who have not been to Baja in many years. It looks like in planning that we will cross into Baja through
Mexicali East around 1:00 p.m. on either a Friday or Saturday - any ideas which would be less traffic both on the road as well as at the travel visa
window?

I have found it only 'bad' southbound into Mexicali (downtown) late Friday afternoon... when so many are going to Mexico after work, for the weekend.

Saturday would be better with less traffic. My last trip a couple of weekends ago I crossed on Saturday morning about 8:30am and there was not a lot
of traffic, in fact it was pretty light.

It wasn't bad for us Pole Line Roadies on Saturday morning, either.
