Reforma Marihuana conference, Tijuana April 2

I spoke at the first panel of the day at a Marijuana Reform workshop today, describing how marijuana laws in California work (and have not worked). Interesting group: doctors, chemists, researchers, retailers. And a good level of participation at the Marriott Tijuana.

I drove my truck with the Callen shell, still full of camping gear, since I only keep that one insured for Baja, and not my sedan. The truck earned me a trip through the big Xray device for the first time. Then they had me wait at secondary, until I was worried I would miss the panel start time.

I explained to the guard I was speaking at a conference and needed to leave. I did not tell them what kind of conference. They let me leave without further ado (I was dressed in professional attire, clearly not going camping)- and during the panel I described why I was late.

"Good thing you didn't tell them the purpose of the conference," one of the panelists joked. "You would have earned tertiary revision...body cavity search!"

Yikes... bullet dodged.

The SENTRI lanes were busy coming back- about 15 minutes. The ICE guard inspected the camper so it took a few minutes more than usual.

Interesting. So Whale-ista, tell us more.

I know supposedly small amount of marijuana was decriminalized a few years ago in Mexico, (was it really?), but are they trying to align themselves with what's happening north of the border (full legalization and able to legally purchase)?
