Gee, I guess it is April 15th isn't it.

Start here to see if you need to file:

In general, http://www.irs.gov will answer your questions.

The answer is always 2. No matter what the question is, the answer is always 2.

Assuming that this is about US tax filing, why is it on this forum?

Because nomad alacran's location is mulege? Good enough reason for me.

alacran - 4-15-2016 at 05:43 PM

Because I believe it is an American forum, and some of us live in Mexico. and still have or have not to file American taxes.

Thank you for your NO help.

Standard deduction: 6,300
Standard Exemption: 4,000

If your Adjusted Gross Income is less than those amounts combined, then you would get all of your paid federal taxes back. So, I believe, if you made anything above that, then you would need to file, if you received 1099's or other income.

Sorry, just trying to be of some actual help...

this seems to indicate otherwise:

"Form 8962, Premium Tax Credit, is a form that you may be filing with your 2015 tax return. This form will be included in your return if you enrolled for 2015 health coverage through Healthcare.gov or your state’s Health Insurance Marketplace."

last I remember you have to file regardless of income. I think 7200 is the number for not having to pay any tax though a rather low income I would think

That's not correct. Here's an easy to read chart showing whether or not you need to file.

Scroll down a bit.
