I am quite new to this board, but I want to thank people for the information I gathered before our recent trip.
We used Kurt's information for back roads and it was very good. We also took the road out to Agua Verde south of Loreto and it is in good shape.
The reccomendation of Lopez Mateos for whale watching was good. We drove out to San Carlos and and glad we changed our minds and went back to Lopez
Mateos. We did, however, see more whales at Laguna Ojo de Liebre.
We have never seen Baja so green, nor so many flowers. Great trip.
One note---the recent rains have torn up the deep vado just north of Catavina so slow down.

it's nice to hear that SOMEBODY has been having a great time in baja. i'm counting down the weeks until my son and i hit the road again.
