Since the recent change in the sentri vehicle inspection procedure/policy, has anyone tried to cross with a slide in truck camper? Pop ups or hard
shell? I've seen a few roof rack tents in the sentri lanes recently.

Here is the same question posed another way. Is there still a windshield tag used for Sentri?

huesos,
It seems that you are asking a very different question.
My understanding is that CBP did away with the vehicle stickers for SENTRI. Apparently it was a security risk, as narcotraficantes could identify
vehicles in Mexico and surreptitiously attach packages of drugs. The driver became the unaware "mule."
CBP identifies SENTRi approved vehicles by license plate and computer.

I have a Callen shell on my truck, have used SENTRI while driving it several times. They approved it in June 2014.
Never had problems crossing after camping trips.

Whale-ista,
Is your Callen a cab over? Is it tall enough to stand up inside? Camper setup or bare bones?

No more window stickers. I removed mine last year and no problems crossing. My F-250 has a shell (standard roof height) and the bed of my truck is
usually stuffed full. Also no problems. They look inside once in a while.
