Just learned of this knot, see it here.
Anyone use it? I like the very small diameter.woody with a view - 5-25-2016 at 05:36 AM

Maybe it's the same F*****G knot that I use that never holds?Hook - 5-25-2016 at 06:49 AM
I have just started using it. I like the lower profile and the relative ease of tying BUT it can get difficult to keep the wraps aligned when using
60# and up.
I cant say I have tested it on anything really big yet. Jury still out. YT are pretty much gone, now.bkbend - 5-25-2016 at 08:16 AM

FG is very strong and small diameter for mono/flouro to braid connections. Another very strong one is the RP Knot.Hook - 6-9-2016 at 07:33 AM
I tied a few more FG knots last night with 60# mono. It really not any different with heavy mono; I was just doing it wrong, at first.
Very low profile. At the points where you are trimming the tag ends at each end of the knot, I paint on some superglue to create a lower profile
"face" for the knot to pass through the guides. And maybe the glue helps to lock the knot even more, I dont know.TMW - 6-9-2016 at 11:18 AM
My ex-son in law who was a boatswain's Mate in the navy told me that if you don't know how to tie a knot tie a lot.Osprey - 6-9-2016 at 02:39 PM
If it is for anything but long leaders I use the Seguar Knot. It takes just 3 seconds, very few moves, holds forever and has a low profile.
