Can i purchase the importation permit, tourist card and motorcycle insurance at the tecate border crossing? Also, if I drive to ferry terminal in la
paz to purchase transport for me and my bike to mazatlan will there be a problem if I haven't booked in advance?

You can get insurance on the US side before you cross over. Just after you cross, ask the nice man where to park and you can get your tourist permit
right there on the Mxican side. Office is on your right when crossing.
Someone can correct me if I am wrong on this, but I do not think you can get your vehicle's temp. importation permit at the border in Tecate. However,
you can get it near the ferry terminal in La Paz. I have not done this in a long while so maybe there is someone else who can verify. And I think it
would be no problem for them to fit your moto on the boat.
