Just about perfect here in Bahia Asuncion....just hope the water warms up a bit.

Udo - 6-18-2016 at 06:14 PM

In Punta Banda, near Ensenada, is 69º @ 6:15 p.m.

David K - 6-18-2016 at 06:21 PM

It actually rained a little today as I was driving through Vista. Only 87° today (nice), but Sunday and Monday it might get close to 100° near the coast.

89 looking at the Coronado's.

bajadogs - 6-18-2016 at 10:26 PM

Changed a flat tire in Ventana with the temp pegged at 111°. Fastest tire change ever.

Picked my family up at the Loreto airport Sat. 104º Made Punta Chivato around 4:30 it was 99º. The wind was off the desert so not much relief off the water. We have a large swell. It's nice to hear the wave breaking at night.

Mexitron - 6-19-2016 at 09:02 AM

Heat Index was 114 for Fort Worth, 119 for Houston on Wednesday....humidity has been abominable from all the rain...dreaming of being in the wisps of fog in the Sisters....

willardguy - 6-19-2016 at 09:30 AM

95 in the shade looking at the Coronado's. It isn't even noon yet and the hot day is supposed to be tomorrow!

David K - 6-19-2016 at 11:56 AM

96° in San Marcos, CA now... normal for a hot mid June here!

Barry A. - 6-19-2016 at 12:24 PM

It's been running considerably below normal (low 70's) here in Redding, Ca for days, and we got 1.5 inches of rain night before last over night, almost unheard of in Redding for this time of year. We expect it to go back up into the 100's later this week, which is normal for Redding this time of year.

bkbend - 6-19-2016 at 12:25 PM

That's why I don't live closer to Baja. It was a nice 31F here this morning and warmed to 45 around 10am for a morning walk with the dog.

David K - 6-19-2016 at 02:58 PM

Picked up my granddaughter about 12:30 and it was 110° in Lakeside. Took her to the party in La Mesa and it was a refreshing 104° here. She's playing in the kiddie pool and slip and slide right now.

bajabuddha - 6-19-2016 at 04:39 PM

... came across a Nordic Folksong (long abandoned, author unk....) named:

" Oh, I Vish I Vas Back in Reykjavik, but my Tuppervarre Lefft me Vor A Tighter Seal........" :(

Today's high off 59º, low off 51º (Varenheit, you betcha), for sure. Skoal.

What caused this horrible heat?

The climate, Goat. The climate is very complex and confusing to we humans, as well as to the climatologists and meteorologists. You can always be sure that the climate will change------that is what it does. It's nice and cool up here, where it usually is very hot now. I prefer the heat, so I am jealous of you. (-:

At 11am at Furnace Creek in Death Valley, it was 120.5.

The predicted high is only 121. I like its odds to pass that.

What's interesting about that is the heat index says it "feels like 112 degrees"....which means that Houston was hotter in that regard than the Colorado desert, lol! Got to love the dry air anyway.
