Hi there Nomads....I'm thinning out my library and have two of Bernie's books, "No hurry...No worry"....and "Bouncing Around Baja." Free to the
first address I get on U2U.
If you don't remember Bernie here, you probably don't need the books.
I used to tell Bernie these were bathroom books. They still are, and fun to read. DENNIS - 6-27-2016 at 06:03 PM

Fun books, he wrote a couple more, as well.
and a poem or two...
A post I made about Bernie after his second book:
2002 (when I met Bernie in San Quintin, Cielito Lindo):
In 2003, the Pyramid Resort held its first Baja Author's book signing parties. Bernie was a big part of helping Keri with them. Here are a few shots
of Bernie at the following Pyramid Resort events...
2004:
2005:
2006:
2007:
2008 (the final Pyramid Resort Book event):
Bernie gets a squeeze from Elizabeth.
Elizabeth and Audrey H checking out Bernie's books. Bernie published a special booklet 'Bernie Talking Baja' which he gave to all Baja Nomads who came
to the Pyramid Resort.
Yeah... thanks for the reminder, David. I think I actually have the whole collection. I'll go through my books and send them all to woody.David K - 6-28-2016 at 10:10 AM
That is really nice of you Dennis! I hope Woody doesn't mind the chapter on page 57, in the second book! LOL!!shari - 6-28-2016 at 10:48 AM

Shari, When I first saw this post, I thought of your reading room/library at 'La Sirena' (sp?) camp ground. That is a welcome spot for us car
campers.

Several years ago, BajaCactus (Antonio) had proposed a Baja Book Library Room in El Rosario. Guests and travelers could do research from the edge of
the great Baja central desert.
Many of us donated or helped to get books to Antonio... which he has been safe-keeping them for many years now. The motel expansion did not happen as
soon as anticipated and the logistics of how to keep books from being taken were some of the issues.
I hope to hear from Antonio about this for an update, but I know how "life" can get in the way of plans we make. DENNIS - 6-28-2016 at 11:36 AM
Jeeezo...I just found my signed copy of "Bernie Talkin' Baja."....... an adventure of nostalgia reading through it. It's mostly a collection of
Nomad posts from way back when. The member names brought back a lot of memories. Some, A few, still post here. The others..... I'm afraid to
ask.
Anyway....three down....one to go. I'll find it.
Hang on, Woody. "I be shakin' it, Boss."fishbuck - 6-28-2016 at 11:52 PM
What ever happened to the book signings at the Pyramid? David K - 6-29-2016 at 07:43 AM
What ever happened to the book signings at the Pyramid?
2008 was the last one, but Keri did want to do more. The economy after 2008 and the fear of Mexico projected by the media really cut into traffic
south. The long border wait didn't help either for short trips south.
Another person copied the idea in the area a couple years later, but I think there was only one.
Putting on group events is no small deal. It takes a lot of help and logistics. I had 4 Viva Baja events which included Baja authors from 2000 to
2003. M had 4 BBBB parties in 2001 and 2002. BajaCactus had cultural events in Tijuana and El Rosario from 2004 to 2008. All were great fun and we got
to meet each other. Photos from most of them are at my website www.vivabaja.com
