Ocean temps in low seventies. Storms moving west. Let's hope they stay south. Thunderstorms from mainland lately, beautiful rain. Bit humid, tho. We'll see what August? September bring. Tio

For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane
Darby, located about 1400 miles west of the southern tip of the
Baja California peninsula, and on Tropical Storm Estelle, located
nearly 500 miles southwest of the southern tip of the Baja
California peninsula.

1. A low pressure area is expected to form well south of Mexico in a
couple of days in association with a tropical wave that is currently
located over the far eastern Pacific. Environmental conditions are
forecast to be conducive for gradual development of the low, and a
tropical depression could form by late this week while it moves
west-northwestward at about 10 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent

2. A trough of low pressure located several hundred miles
south-southwest of Acapulco, Mexico, is producing disorganized
shower activity. Some slow development of this system is possible
later this week while it moves westward at about 10 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent

It does not look that these two tropical storms will affect Baja at all.

Darby, as a hurricane could ruin outdoor activities in Hawaii.

* Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent

2. A weak low pressure area located about 750 miles southwest of
Acapulco, Mexico, is producing disorganized shower activity.
Conditions are expected to be conducive for some slow
development of this system later this week while it moves
westward at 10 to 15 mph.

* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent
