Agree completely with the desire for flooring and higher gunwale height.

I'd go 23 foot minimum, center console, built in fuel cell, T-top. Steering at the back gets old fast. Better weight distribution, too, especially if you end up fishing alone, at times.

I dont know much about outboards anymore except that they are all pretty darn good, including the direct injection 2 strokes from Merc and Evinrude. Many happy owners of Suzuki, Yammy and Honda in the 4 stroke arena. Hondas always tended to be the heaviest.

I just got a little 23' panga with a 70Hp Suzuki, CC and the fuel cell under the front deck. Plenty of power for me.

Right now a bimini top, but would like to get a T-top.....
Where can I find/ have it built a stainless steel T-top? Any suggestions?

BTW I do have a 90HP 4-stroke Honda for sale, complete with controls and gauges.

There's a guy in Loreto (gringo) who does custom aluminum and stainless fabrication. If you can go that far, give me a U2U and I'll give you his contact info. His work is top notch.

Seems like one of the biggest challenges is keeping static load weight forward more than aft.... I've talked to guys who put the fuel cell up in the bow underneath a casting deck.

that's where mine was in my 22' panga,, 75 gals,, I had a 115 Yammy, great range, when chasing Tuna out of San Diego

I always think of an on-deck tank when gas tank is used. My current boat had twin 12 gallon on deck gas tanks when I got it - it now has a custom below deck 60 gallon aluminum fuel cell.
