Lots of Yellowtail in Bahia Asuncion...& surf contest

Capt. Juan Arce Marron reports there are yellowtail everywhere in the area of Bahia Asuncion feeding on sardines...but the fish need to be coaxed to bite and were only taking the sardine exraps. It was awesome fishing with kids who were super keen and also shore fished nearly every waking moment. They caught 7 nice yellowtail from 20-25 lbs, nice calico and sand bass and halibut, corvina, guitar fish & calico from the beaches.

and thanks to Chris Stone for bringing some boogie boards and goodies for prizes for the 9th annual Jurjos Surf Torneo at Pta.Loma. It was a beautiful calm day...too bad the swell wasnt grande but it was fun anyway with about 30 participants from Abreojos, Tortugas, Rosarito and here.

and a big gracias to Woody for donating the lime green shirts that were given to the participants. There were no gringos here at all for this years tournament.
