Last weekend we had our fishing tournament. Although it was announced as our first, it was our first under the name of Bocana Adventures and Mike
Grizz was the coordinator. We have have had quite a few previous tournaments.
Here is the advertisement:
The cooperative paid for the band and they played all day!
As fish came in, they were weighed and released. No black sea bass and no grouper allowed at all.
Tecate had a beer stand and they provided shade. It was a beautiful day to be outside and the tents were great. Les in the background waving:

Lots of raffles which was so fun! Les bought me 2 tickets and I had the cutie girls (ex-students of mine) choose the numbers and I (we) won!!! It is
a camera and I will donate it to either to the middle school's graduating class or to the xmas party for my teens:

Mike The Grizz had invited the president of the hotel association in Loreto to come. Her name is Ana Gloria Davis which tickles my fancy no end.
What a great last name! She brought a chef over and they had a clam bake a la Loreto style. It was amazing and everyone loved the clams:

So, it was a really great tournament but the fishing was not outstanding EXCEPT that the winner was a 70 lb. wahoo! Who knew that the wahoo were
here!!
Here is a shot of the restaurant which pulled in $32,000 pesos that day! Not too shabby! They had drink specials with tequila shots galore.....and
the latest is that they finally have now started the Hora Feliz in the afternoons.

as the fish came in they where weighed and released? OK. Released into someones refri/deepfryer/freezer?

thanks for the report....it looks like it was a very successful event and well attended! Maybe next year they can do like we do here and cook up the
fish that are caught for the folks! Cool someone caught a wahoo....we are waiting for that up here.

hahaha I have put in a question to the manager as to how they worked it out.
