Great news for SENTRI applicants coming from the North of San Diego.

I've got SENTRI - at the time I got it global entry was separate - my wife got her SENTRI a month after I did and global entry was part of the deal. The officer at my wife's meeting said no problem and attempted to copy my passport image on my SENTRI to global entry but was unable to do so. He said to bring my passport down but I never did. This office at the airport will make it easy....I hope!

I don't think the airport GOES enrollment office is for SENTRI. I think The airport office is for people wanting to get GOES for intl air travel and tsa pre check.

Global Entry and SENTRI are almost identical programs except for price.

I recently got Global Entry because my credit card automatically refunds the $100 fee. With my GE card I can use the SENTRI pedestrian line, but I'll have to pay $42 to register each vehicle to use the SENTRI vehicle lane. SENTRI, I believe, includes 1 vehicle for free but costs $122.

If you're thinking about getting SENTRI, check your credit card benefits and see if they'll pay for you to get Global Entry. You'll end up saving $80.
