Snake ID?

Russ - 9-11-2016 at 09:01 AM

This guy was cruising along the wall. He doesn't have any markings of a gopher snake. So any ideas? telephoto shot not very clear.

Russ,

It looks like its in the coachwhip family. super fast. Tough to identify from that angle. thanks for the pic.

I'm an expert on snakes. I can spot em from a mile off. Any closer than that and I scream like a little girl and run. Lemme tell you Russ, you gotta snake there.----- Yup it's a snake, noboutadoutit. :o:o:o

If it looked like any of these, it is a Baja California Coachwhip, Chirrionera, Masticophis fuliginosus

Here in Baja Sur you may see 100 of these Latigo, Coachwhips, before you encounter any other snake === they are the top reptile here, quick, quiet, non venomous rodent munchers.
