I know that there is a volunteer fire group at El Vergel in b the South Campos....I thought I saw a thread about a similar organization being put together at Cowpatty's???

Sign me up. On our way to Gonzaga Bay we always wish we had stopped at Cow Patties.....that should be a chain restaurant....sell franchises....get rich.

Is Rich Wilkes still over there around CowPattys?

I've gotten to the age where I'm sometimes afraid to as this question.

WOW...bad news, Cliff. Didn't know Mr. Wright, but knew Rich for years back in Newport...Blackies....around seven wars ago.
Thanks for the update.

Unless it happened over the summer then whoever started that thread probably just overheard a few people talking after a few to many Tecates and hotdogs.

I don't know his last name, but the guy who owns the Cowpatty is named Richard, I'm guessing it's the same guy. Sorry to hear he lost a friend

Thanks. That's probably Rich W. I thought a gal owned the place?

As I recall there are no train tracks to contend with in that area during a fire but if there were the CPVFD should receive instruction on how to protect their hoses the right way:

Nothing like derailing a train to save a hose!

Definitely owned by Richard, and I thought he was from Newport, I will have to check with the in-laws, they live just a few miles south of there and frequent the Cowpatty

Newport is correct. He had his own reserved stool at Blackies.
I still have questions about ownership of CowPatty's. Just something working in the back of my mind. Makes no difference really.
