Unbelievable that any culture that chastises China for eating dog meat would continue to call a traditional "delicacy" a Hot Dog.

Our housekeeper insists that hot dogs and only hot dogs are salchichas - any other coarse ground meat product in a casing like Italian sausage is
carne or anything else like American breakfast sausage.
And, if I put "hot dogs" on the shopping list, she completely ignores my entry and tells me to add salchichas.
I meekly comply.

Maybe it is a 'salchina' in the butchers case, or package, but takes on other names when it is on a bun?
