Was there once years ago. Back then it was a community laundry!

Any info if there are hot springs or possible directions there?

Yes, it is well known, popular with locals, but not ever mentioned as a tourist high spot that I have seen. The road to Ejido Uruapan is well signed and paved where it leaves Hwy. 1. In Marjorie Gersh-Young's book, it is described as being a joint laundromat/bath house, but not for recreational soaking.
That book is from 1998, so maybe they have been improved. There are several other hot springs around Ensenada.

Lots of hot springs around Ensenada...

#1 San Carlos*
#2 Agua Caliente* (Ramírez)
#3 Marconi
#4 Uruapan*
#5 Punta Banda (low tide in sand)
#6 Cantu
#7 Rancho Gilberto
*= public facilities, other locations are natural, undeveloped, or limited bath sites.

Information on these hot spring locations available from Baja Nomad reports or this excellent 2004 guide:

San Carlos

Is pretty nice. Several pools. There is also camping in undeveloped sites on the road to the hot springs.

Yes, good book... the cover is the 2004 edition, but the Baja data looks the same as the 1998 edition. At least the Uruapan data is the same.

The map above is not from the book, but is similar. There is a detailed one to find the Marconi hot spring near Ojos Negros.

I've never heard of numbers 6 and 7, Cantu and Rancho Gilberto. Any nomad trip reports on those?

Saw it last October... in TRIP #7 report...

Next, I pulled off at Ejido Uruapan (Km. 41.5) to take a quick look at the hot springs advertised there. The pavement ends in 0.8 mile, turn left (well signed) and 1.9 miles from Hwy. 1 you arrive at the hot springs. There are bathhouses for men and for women, a few palapas for picnicking, and several washing machines and clotheslines! I guess hot water here is more prized for laundry use than for soaking!

We drove over on a scouting trip to see if it would be a suitable camping spot for our guys on our annual trek south.
"Community Laundry" would be a compliment
How fast can you get back to Mex1 and onward to continue scouting?

I have it at Km. 26, but would appreciate an update if found to be different.
I remember Tim Walker (Tim's Baja) did a nice web page of it many years ago. It has rooms and looked like a pretty ok hot spring resort, mostly visited by Ensenada folks. A new visit would be great and if my truck brakes didn't blow out on the road to Mike's Sky Rancho, I would have covered it last October!
