Going down south to San Jose del Cabo and wanted to know if Hwy 3 is worth driving through? Been the other route so wanted a different route down
south. Travel time not important as I'm not in a hurry. Is there much to see on that route?

Just before Thanksgiving there was construction going on for several miles (10-15?) between Valle de Guadalupe and Ignacio Zaragoza: all gravel and
slow driving.

Just drove south though Tecate a couple days ago pulling a travel trailer. Construction is short and not an issue. Construction near Santo Tomas is
much worse, but not horrible either.

Some great wineries and places to eat along the way. Went through there last week. Construction zones are easy and not a problem

I love that route! It is very scenic with the wineries and the cool rock formations. It is definitely worth spending the extra time to drive it,
especially if time is not an issue. Plus the highway is really nice. As everyone else said the construction isn't to bad right now, the waits aren't
that long.
The construction between Santo Tomas and Camalu is worse though. Just try to not get stuck behind an ABC bus or a big rig and you still make good
time.
