Comparing prices for dental implants: large dental surgery practice w/ multiple offices in NorCal vs. highly rated practice in Ensenada.
1. Sinus Augmentation (lift): $1680 to $1400
2. Implant (includes post): $1995 to $1050
3. Crown: $600 to $550
Total: $4275 to $3000
The Ensenada office needed a week's notice for the lift but most of the other procedures could be had quicker. I wonder if the NorCal pricing is just
enough higher to discourage multiple travels with related expenses or if the Mexican pricing reflects the maximum they can get before customers decide
to stay NOB?

Check out Washington Dental in Tijuana on their website. I have done several implants with them and they are the best I have ever seen. Prices
shown on the website.

Those US prices you are showing are, by far, the best US prices I have ever heard of.
I have one implant. It is a "secondary" maxillary incisor. The implant replaced a bridge that lasted for 15 years.
Clearly, a secondary incisor is a very visible tooth. So, I decided to have an implant, as opposed to another bridge.
I'm not sure I would do another implant. The process is long, with multiple visits over a year. I didn't really like it. And I only lived 20 minutes
from the dentist.
If I am faced with the loss of a molar, I think I'd just have it yanked and be done with it, and live with any movement of my other teeth. But I am
not young.
And I've had no issues with the implant at all. It's been hit twice by a pickleball (both times off the paddle of my partner) and it seemed to get
tweaked slightly, but it felt normal in a day or two.

I had new lower dentures made with 11 teeth at the cost of $480. To have implants would have cost me $14,850, and that's way beyond anything that I
could afford, and my lower partial works just fine.

Wait a minute. How many implants would that have been for 1,485? Certainly not eleven?
Here's another comparison. I recently had a badly infected area around a back molar. X-rays were inconclusive as to what was going on. Turns out a
deep cleaning and antibiotics solved it.
But a root canal, post, new crown was considered. A two week procedure. Extraction was one tenth the cost of this. 900 pesos.
Dentistry is my area is probably more expensive than in the border towns that cater to dentistry.

Wife got an implant in Ensenada at a highly respected and recommended specialist....1/3 the cost of the same procedure in the US, including what
insurance would have paid.
