We have been using San Luis last few times. depends on the day and the time of the day mostly...
Just our preference lately... Last one was on a Sunday morning and was a long trip...

I live in Yuma and I prefer Mexicali East crossing. Not many hawkers.

I prefer Algodones (partly because the single line is more relaxing than wondering if you've picked the wrong line when you see the others moving
faster!).
Getting to the border at (or just after) sunset, midweek, works for me. Hard to avoid some waiting this time of year, but earlier or later in the
season it can be almost empty crossing at that time.
