What a trip! I flew with Areomexico and will never do it again. Got to SD airport two hours ahead of time, checked in and was told my flight was to be
delayed 45 mins. Daughter and I took a walk and found a bar/restaurant, had some tacos and margaritas. We said goodbye at the security point ,and I
proceeded to the gate where I was told the plane had been canceled. We were to be bussed to a hotel in SD, then bussed to TJ in the morning. then fly
to La Paz and a five hour bus ride back up to Loreto. What was supposed to be an hour and fourty-five minute flight took two days! All this time we
(airline passengers) were told nothing about why this was happening, or what to do when we got to our multiple destinatins. All very unprofessional
and very frustrating! Of course I left my cell phone at home and gave my last $100 to my daughter for taking me to the airport.Who would've thunk!?!I
learned a few lessons and finally made it to Mijas the next nite at 7:30pm. Unfortunatly, I have a round trip ticket and Mija and Nineta are coming
back with me also. Sure hope there is'nt a repeat! On an up note, it's great to be here with my girls! The weather has been gloomy and rain is
expected! The whole penninsula was covered with clouds on the way down with the exception of BOLA! I'll post again when I have something fun to tell
about. If anyone has been thinking of flying Areomexico, I'd reconsider!
Saludos, Sally

Hell no, they actually bumped me from my assigned window seat in the front of the plane to a lovely view of the wing right in front of the engine! And
Phil, I don't care if the sun shines when I am flying, just would like to see it here! And Capt Mike, Rats! why did'nt you tell me before I left? You
betcha next time I fly things will be arranged MUCH differently(maybe on Screaming Airlines!).Supposed to be sunny this Saturday and we may be going
to see the whales also!Depends on if mi familia gets over this rotten sickness I came down here to find them with.(Bad cold, flu). Oh and Phil, I will
U2U tomorrow or as soon as I can (dail-up ,you know) get more time on the computer.U2U me your # if you will. I don't have it anymore here. Hasta
Luego, Sally

At least I am glad ot hear you are with the family and safe.
I too, was once over confident and down to my last pesos when I discovered my flight was cancelled to Los Cabos. I had to sweat it out in Mexico City
for a couple of days.
Well, I swore never again; that day forth I promised myself that I would always keep a reseve of $1,000 pesos, just in case. And than I started
budgeting for the flight home in a couple of weeks with thinking, well, it is not hurricane season, I can make it home easy with money to spare if I
hold back $400 pesos.
So, I read your post and it reminded me of that promise I had made to myself so long ago, not to cut it so tight on the return flight, thanks for the
story, shook me back to reality, you never know, always keep a stash of cash in reserve.
Hope everyone is feeling better on the Loreto home front, Sara

WOW
We met on that flight, I believe, if it was after the hurricane, Julieta.
Cheers

that was Juliete, wound up doing some hitching up my skirt hiking thru arroyos to get home on that one.
Love to meet you again and trigger the memory of who you were on that flight.
Did we do some talking while waiting in line to board?

When will you be back on this side of the Sea? We have business in Los Barriles and are up there often. Tio's Tienda now has a book department and
is one of our customers. Would love to see you again!

I will fly home Mar. 1st, and will hit the ground running. Anytime after that, the gallery is on the way to the highway from Tio Pablos, so, stop in
on your way in or out, you will catch me there for sure.
