Hi All,
This is a very specific question:
Does anybody know of a car rental company in Los Cabos (besides BBB) that recognizes the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Lost Damage Waiver (LDW)
offered by Visa credit cards and will accept it in lieu of buying their coverage?
I understand there are other mandatory coverages that must be purchased in addition to the CDW but I'm asking specifically about the CDW.
Thanks!

I used Enterprise/National last week at the Cabo airport. I said no to all other coverage except what was required. (I made the reservation online).
Visa sent me a letter a letter to use to prove coverage. Contact your Visa company. I was not asked for proof.

Thank you for responding BJ,
I was given a letter by Visa as well but it wasn't very specific. It was basically just a claim form. Is that what you got as well?

I HAVE rented vehicles near the Cabo airport up until two years ago, and all accepted the AMEX waivers.
However...
Three years ago I rented a vehicle at the same airport and did have a bus rear-end mean La Paz.
The extra $15.00 USD per day was well worth the investment, because I would have had to pay for the damages out of pocket and AMEX would reimburse me!
