When I drove through on Thursday/Friday they have merged lanes and blocked off hillside lanes northbound near Salsipuedes. It looks like they are
working on the hillside again. Did it slip?

Cracks discovered in the pavement at KM90. It's always slipping and cracking the pavement
They (CAPUFE) keep trying to put lipstick on that section of the toll road, but it's still a pig
Resources should be used to construct the bypass at BajaMar

The merged lanes have been like that for a couple of weeks, at least.

That area is in a Seismic Fault It will always slip, The real solution would be to abandon that stretch. Some People are always Putting the Mexican
Government Down for not doing a permanent Fix.
There is similar area om I - 40 at the Arizona, California Border where it crosses the San Andres Fault The Cal. Trans Bunch has Ben licking that
sore for as long as I can remember and it still moves.
I remember the concept drawing of the proposal to build a bridge out in the bay to bypass that area. That would be a note worthy project.

I used to live in Half Moon Bay south of San Francisco. Highway 1 had the same problem for years. Finally they built a tunnel through the mountain to
the east. When a coastal road is on an unstable cliff, repaving it is always just a temporary measure till the next collapse.
