On my continuing roadtrip in Baja I'm now camping & volunteering at this turtle sanctuary in Todos Santos at Las Playitas. If you are in the
Todos Santos area stop by and see it. Baby turtle hatchings are released daily into the Pacific at 5:30pm.

Maybe 25 years ago, we were walking along the beach at Todos Santos, and saw this line of footprints down the beach. Every so often, there was a hole
dug in the sand, then the footprints would continue down the beach (with more holes). We were later talking to a local who explained that was someone
digging up turtle eggs, most likely to eat.
Nice to see we're now headed in the right direction.

Hi Mary
We would love to hear more about your experience at the turtle sanctuary.
Volunteering is almost always very rewarding and leaves something behind besides money.
