Nice - Calm but a Cool 53ยบ ~ We had just over .25" of rain depending on who's rain gauge.

Russ; You can not believe how much some of us rely on these morning photos to jump-start our day.
Thanks

Ditto to what Jim said!

I think you have a camera on a rigid tripod just sitting there permanently.

Thanks ~ I'll try to post a little more.
Udo, I actually get off my Butt and go outside each morning for these. I guess I should paint an "X" where I shoot from though ;) Maybe just habit I shoot from near the same place (straight out the door).

My PWS recorded a total of 1.22". There was a period where I recorded a rainfall rate of 2.75"/hour. It lasted about 10-15 minutes. Instant flooding in many areas.

This was the hardest WINTER rain in the eight winters I have lived over here. Only last summer, I recorded a rainfall rate of around 5.5"/hour. You cant imagine how loud that is, on laminar or even just hitting the ground. You literally have to shout to talk to people just a few feet away.

I know what it sounds like! We have had one deluge after another where I am spending the winter (Nevada County CA). The forecast for the next 36 hours is for 6 to ten inches in my area!

For the first time in my life, I will be carrying and umbrella. I don't expect to stay dry with it, but I want something in my hand to smack the next fool that says we need the rain, when it is flooding right now!

I know...wrong tool for the job, but it would be hard to explain why I why I had a baseball bat in a rain storm.

Russ -what a spectacular photo!

we had an ugly day here yesterday with gale force winds early on, then pounding rain, then blue skies, then dark gray clouds and rain again.

crazy winter weather.

waves are huge today and one after the other so all you see is foam.

You should do a time lapse.
