My Shaving Brush Tree is one clever plant. Indigenous to Mexico it's spring foliage, being tender and susceptible to insects, are a bronze color which
insects avoid. Then it waits till all the big green foliage is off the tree so it's showy blooms can catch the eye of all the pollinators. The
delicate blooms don't last long so it shows them one or two at a time because they only last a day.
