I am an avid traveler and know that in most Countries that if I provide medical assistance to a local and things go South that I could be held
accountable ( even though nothing I did was wrong )
I drive with a vary good medical kit and in the USA I stop at any accidents that looks like there is need.
Does anyone know whats the general rule regarding helping ?
I wouldn't hesitate to stop and assist a US plated vehicle occupants but I could see big problems if say, I stopped at a bad accident of a local and
I stabelize the person then in transporting to the closest medical facility the person dies. I'm sure it would be a difficult situation to explain
to authorities arriving with a dead local.
So do I stop and give immediate care only ? If the person dies on scene then would there be big problems also ?
