Great - how much per month for South ( Los Barriles) and how much for the equipment plus install ?- etc. etc.

rocmoc - 4-2-2017 at 05:29 PM

How about service in Southern Arizona, LOL. The best we can get is 3 MBPS and goes down several times a week, good old Century Link. And we barely have wireless. Great to see Baja is advancing faster than we are at home.

Up now, thanks.

The $100/mo unlimited plan is certainly intriguing. We're not going to be the guinea pigs for one of the initial installs, but I would be real interested to hear if anyone has luck getting this service on the central Pacific coast.

internet4baja - 4-3-2017 at 04:40 PM

well its not like were new

we have been the first to set up satellite internet in ka band down south were kind of like the pionieer of high speed internet

Thank you for the offer. Sitting in the shadow of a 7,000+ foot high mountain, reason we can only get service via land line from Century Link. The weather radar is even blocked so never shows any rain even if it is pouring.

rocmoc n AZ

its possible

I believe quite a few people are using Az accounts with dishes installed in Baja. As long as you understand what you are buying.

The website is down, but I recall from the earlier that it is either unlimited in the night only, or unlimited until you exceed your data cap. The cap is 12-18 GB a month depending on how much you pay. If they are selling Exede Az plans, then after exceeding the monthly cap your speed will slow down to crawl. Exede Az have some 150 GB plans for $100 though. Not unlimited.

chavycha - 4-10-2017 at 09:53 PM

There are several plans on their page, ranging from $1500MXN to $5000MXN. There's also this image up top.

Alm - 4-11-2017 at 11:47 AM

Page doesn't open. 1,500MXN = 75USD, so this is - probably - 12GB Exede USA plan. Costs 50USD in AZ. Or something from Hughes MX, with the same or lower cap.

5,000MXN - hard to tell. Exede USA don't have anything that expensive. Hughes could have something in this price range, they do offer MX rate plans, usually priced higher than Hughes USA or Exede USA.
