I just got back from a quick trip to Ensenada to visit the kids and we were looking for something new to do for the family when we stumbled into
Boliche in a rather seedy section of downtown Ensenada.
It was like stepping back in time as we entered the dimly lit, musty 5 lane bowling alley. The proprietor was equally antiquated and lovingly
explained the history of the place to us. It was built in 1945 and of course had human pin setters and the old ball retrieval system is still along
the wall as are the photos of past tournaments.
It now has automated pins and a more modern ball system. It was 40 pesos a person for 21 rounds of bowling, shoe rental and balls and there is a bar
through the back door you can get beer from.
they had a little snack bar and good oldie dance music playing too for some hoofin between bowls
Several in our group had never bowled before so it was super fun and everyone loved it! Izaak made a great scorekeeper too.

It is well worth visiting and bowling a few games for nostalgia sake!

So much fun! I even bowled in a league for school personnel and teachers. Tequila shooters after a hard week! Shoes were always creepy. Thanks for
sharing, Amigos. Tio

I wonder how many Nomads who live or visit ensenada have ever been in this bowling alley? It should be a historic monument...a must see after some 2
for 1 margaritas at Hussongs! Are there other bowling alleys in Baja???
